Prepared for Anything

A day of rain and thunderstorms was forecasted but we were lucky enough to have enough breaks in the weather to do some activities. I know for sure the campers made it down for tuck (their two pieces of free candy).  Nobody wanted to miss that!

Brownies challenged themselves and earned the “Camp Tour Challenge” crest by taking a long afternoon hike. We also had a special guest that spent her time with the Brownies: Annetta, a visiting Girl Scout from the Czech Republic came for the day and we were able to share our beautiful camp with her. Thanks so much for including us in your busy schedule!

How is a Girl Guide prepared and in style for stormy weather? Check out this camper who waterproofed her running shoes!

Dinner time brought thunderstorms but that was okay as everyone was settled into the marquees under cover and hungry for a delicious meal. Our wonderful food people, Jennifer and Pam this week, kept us well fed with extras available. How do we get some of our food to camp, you ask? Well it comes by transport truck which cannot make it down the road because of the low tree canopy but we can meet it at the road and have our trusty camp Hildegard and trailer to complete the delivery.
