Tuesday, July 9th – another beautiful day at camp!
The Guides had an amazing time canoeing this morning. They were able to get a great deal of time on the water, even some time for a race from the bay end out. Then after swimming and lunch they filled their day with program time with our super new program staff Coral and, by choice, a hike to the bluff before sitting down to supper. A great group of Guides who, after a busy day, voted for a hike to the bluff over free time. That’s what I call camp time – it doesn’t have an end to the day, it keeps on going and going.
Brownies also had some program time with our amazing Coral and they learned about trail signs. News that travelled to my nest said the Brownies were making trail signs in their mashed potatoes and peas at supper time. I hope they ate them all up and left no trace! Brownies were able to enjoy some paddling in the Rabaska and then a swim after lunch. They also chose last night to sleep under the stars and earn their “Sleep under the stars” challenge crest.
I received an invitation and ticket to the Pathfinder/Ranger theatre piece on Friday night. I am so excited!’’
