Pathfinders and Rangers rose very early at 4 am to do the Sunrise hike to the Bluff challenge. After a quick hike up the mountain trail, they arrived in plenty of time to catch a beautiful sunrise! After a bit of relaxing and a power snack, back down for breakfast and a nap they went. However, I did see two of them add a morning dip in there! Their second challenge came ’round in the afternoon with the long lake swim. They swam across the lake to the furthest shoreline, touched the boat stationed there and returned to the camp dock. How did they fill time between a sunrise hike and the Long Lake Swim? By entertaining themselves on crickets of course and the photos say it all! Great day ladies — everyone will sleep very well!
Guides started their day off with a paddle to Blueberry Island and of course the traditional life jacket dip while there.
Their afternoon brought some extra swim time after lunch and then science experiments!
On the Brownie site we definitely have some fish that love the water, they spend as much time in the lake as they possibly can. It was a lovely afternoon for a trip in the Rabaska and then back to site for crafts and science fun.
The day was brought to a close with us all at central campfire. We were treated to a lovely fire and great selection of camp songs by our fabulous waterfront team: Pip, Scooby, Magpie and Bubbles. Thanks ladies for another great evening to add to the memory books.
