Again this year, Mille Iles District helped to brighten up the holidays for our community’s seniors.
All the girls were asked to bring in half a dozen individually wrapped baked goods to their unit meeting in December. It was a good reason for parents to do some baking with their daughters. Leaders collected them and brought all the baked goods to the Pathfinder unit meeting.
The Pathfinders baked a couple dozen muffins to complete the 25 baskets that were to be delivered that same weekend. We even had some wonderful handmade blankets made by a relative of one of our leaders to give to some of the seniors.
On Saturday, December 14, 2013, eight girls and eight parents and leaders delivered the 25 baskets to very happy seniors who receive Meals on Wheels. What a great way to put a little Christmas into the lives of seniors.
A BIG thank you to all for participating in this very appreciated action.
