Camping with 5-7 year olds…in the rain!

ImageCamping with 5-7 year olds is never easy, but when you factor in subzero temperatures and rain, it can be quite daunting, to say the least…….unless you are a Spark, that is!  Last weekend, 19 Sparks from the Lakeshore District attended the Annual District Camp at Wa-Thik-Ane.  Yes, it was cold, but that did not stop our Sparks from learning how to use a compass, make a bedroll and learn about campfire safety.  We hiked along the waterfront, sang campfire songs and made a wooden craft.

These girls definitely earned their Camp crest and many can boast that they got to experience winter camping… In May!

Way to go, Sparks!
